Privacy Policy

BookedIRL helps people discover service providers, request bookings, and message after a booking is accepted. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. BookedIRL is intended only for adults who are at least 18 years old.

We collect account information such as your name, email address, birth date, authentication provider, and profile details. We may collect profile content you provide, including photos, bio, service listings, social links, booking requests, messages, and support communications.

If you enable location for discovery, the iOS app sends the coordinates supplied by your device to BookedIRL. We store those coordinates to calculate nearby profiles. Other users may see a distance estimate, but we do not show them your saved coordinates. We also collect technical information such as device, app, log, and notification-token data needed to operate authentication, security, push notifications, and app reliability.

We use information to create and secure accounts, show profiles and services, power discovery, process booking requests, create chats after accepted bookings, send notifications, provide support, improve reliability, and protect BookedIRL and its users from misuse.

We share information with other users when it is part of the product experience, such as public profile details, service information, booking context, and messages between participants. We may also share information with service providers that help us operate BookedIRL, including Firebase for authentication and notifications, Supabase for database and photo storage, Render for backend hosting, Resend and Cloudflare Email Routing for email, and Apple or Google when you use their sign-in or platform services. These providers are expected to protect user data consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

We keep information for as long as needed to provide BookedIRL, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. You can delete your account from the Profile screen in the iOS app. When deletion succeeds, we remove your account and associated backend records, including your profile, services, bookings, chats, messages, and push tokens. We also remove your profile and service photos from our storage and delete the associated Firebase Authentication user.

Support correspondence and operational logs may remain when needed for security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Deletion cannot remove emails already delivered or copies another person saved outside BookedIRL. Contact us if you need help deleting your account or want to request deletion of other information.

You can update profile information in the app where supported. You can manage device permissions such as notifications and location in your device settings. You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of your information.

BookedIRL is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information to BookedIRL, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy as BookedIRL changes. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and take additional steps where required by law.
